Bazat pe romanul omonim al lui Stephenie Meyer, Twilight, întâiul film dintr-o serie de 4, este o poveste de dragoste moderna si plina de actiune, dintre un vampir si o muritoare.
Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) a fost intotdeauna o persoana diferita, care a favorit sa ramana in afara grupurilor fetelor populare din liceul sau din Phoenix. Nici atunci cand mama ei se recasatoreste si o trimite pe Bella sa locuiasca cu tatal sau intr-un orasel ploios numit Forks, din statul Washington, ea nu se asteapta sa se produca vreo schimbare majora in viata ei.
Asta pana cand il intalneste pe misteriosul si ciudat de frumosul Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), un baiat cum nu a mai intalnit vreodata. Inteligent si spiritual, el pare ca vede pana in sufletul ei. Curand, Bella si Edward se vad prinsi intr-o poveste de dragoste pasionala si incontestabil neortodoxa.
Edward poate alerga mai rapid decat o puma, poate opri o masina in mers doar cu propriile maini si nu a mai imbatranit din 1918. Ca absolut orice vampir, este nemuritor. Dar nu are colti si nu bea sange uman; Edward si familia sa sunt unici printre vampiri in ceea ce priveste acest stil de viata. Pentru Edward, Bella este ceea ce a asteptat timp de 90 de ani – sufletul lui pereche. Dar ce se va intampla cu Edward si Bella atunci cand James, Laurent si Victoria, vampirii dusmani de moarte ai familiei Cullen, vin in oras sa ii caute?
